Our lotion base is made fresh bi-weekly. It contains Optiphen as a preservative (less than 1%)vegetable glycerine, shea butter, cocoa butter, spring water and vegetable emulsifying waxes. Our lotion base contains no SLS (harsh detergents), no petroleum products, no parabens and no animal products/animal byproducts. WE DO NOT TEST ON ANIMALS. Our emollient Lotion Base can be reheated to approximately 120F to ensure ease of incorporation of additional materials, such as vegetable and nut oils, colourants, fragrances or texturing agents. Use a stick blender to ensure proper incorporation of additives. Slight heating will enable an easier "pour" into your bottles or jars. A zip lock bag can be also used as a "pastry" bag to make dispensing easier.
Many companies add carbonner's to their lotions for a better feel. This is a petro-cheical product. It can cause skin sensitivities thus the reason for not adding it to our base.
