Moisterizing Emulsified Aloe Sugar Scrub

250 grams white granulated sugar

125 grams meadowfoam Oil

125 grams Grapeseed Oil

30 grams Emulsifying Wax

30 grams cetyl alcohol

30 grams aloe butter

30 grams cocoa butter

15 to 30 ml of your essential oil of choice

5 grams of mica of your choice

In a double boiler, heat the emulsifying wax, cetyl alcohol, mica and butters until completely melted. Do not overheat or allow any water to enter your mixture.
Remove from the heat and allow mixture to cool to 60 to 70 C.
Add the oils and mix until all ingredients are combined.
Place pan in fridge until the edges start to stiffen and a layer starts to form on top.
Using a hand mixer, whisk mixture until creamy.
Add sugar and mix until completely combined.

You will notice there is not preservative in this product. That is due to the scrub not containing water. Make sure water does not get into the product. If you feel this may happen add 0.5% Liquid Germall Plus when your product is below 50C. Meadowfoam oil has an long shelf life and will help with the shelf life of the scrub.
