Aromatically, Peru Balsam has a warm mild but deep, rich aroma that is woodsy yet sweet with a vanilla and benzoin quality. It also possesses a very subtle hint of cinnamon. Peru Balsam contains constituents that are present in Benzoin and Cinnamon Essential Oil
Balsam Peru is great for anchoring blends in soap that contain citrus EO.  Add to your oils prior to adding your lye water for better distribution in your soap.
