The Rich, creamy, balsamic, almond vanilla-like heart notes of Benzoin is cherished by perfumers. It has slight smoky, leather undertone. Use Benzoin essential oil, otherwise known as Benzoin Siam, to impart a vanilla aroma similar to, but certainly not equal to, our pure vanilla.
It is commonly used as a fragrance fixative (anchor) in soap by reducing the evaporation of fragrance.

Skin maximum of 2% and use with caution skin that is hypersensitive or damaged.  1/2tsp to 1tsp per pound of batch oils in soap


For easier pouring, use a hot water bath for 10 or so minutes.
May accelerate trace in soap

INCI: Styrax Benzoin Resin Extract

Viscosity: This resin is a thick brown, viscous liquid. Let the bottle sit in warm water to enable easy pouring
Perfume Note: Base
Aroma: Balsamic, rich, creamy, sweet, almond and vanilla notes
Blends well with black pepper, cardamom, frankincense, myrrh, patchouli, sandalwood, vetiver & ylang ylang

Processing Method: Solvent Extraction with benzyl benzoate
