Scotch pine is largely used in the preparation of bubble baths, soaps, and detergents for its antiseptic, tonic, and balsamic properties.

Botanical Name: Pinus sylvestris

Main Constituents:
a-Pinene: 34.3%
Limonene: 16.6%
β-Pinene: 15.2%

Plant Part: Needles and Twigs

Origin: Hungary

Processing Method: Steam Distilled

Description: A thin, colourless to pale yellow liquid.

Aromatic Summary / Note / Strength of Aroma: A top note with a strong aroma, Pine Essential Oil has a woody, evergreen scent similar to natural turpentine.

Blends With:  Clary Sage, Coriander, Cypress, Eucalyptus, Juniper, Lavender, Myrrh, Rosemary, Spikenard and Tea Tree.

Usage Rate 2.5% in soap per pound of oils

Cautions - Dermal irritant, common sensitizing agent; otherwise non-toxic.
