Kumkumadi Oil

Ayurveda Kumkumadi Oil is an authentic Ayurvedic formulation, made from pure Kashmir saffron and other unique potent ayurvedic ingredients essential for a glowing complexion and even skin tone and also to repair early signs of aging, when applied externally. Additionally, floral components like Lotus pollens and Neelkamal (Blue Water Lily), give it a boost of important plant nutrients, like many other herbal Ayurvedic oils. Then, cooling and soothing ingredients like Lal Chandan (Red Sandalwood), Khus (Vetiver) and Bael fruit, make this oil suitable for use in tropical climates like India, where acne, oiliness, and inflamed skin is a common concern due to the heat.

The coarse powder of all the following herbs are taken and soaked in water for a few hours:

The mixture is then boiled until only 1/4th part of liquid content remains. The decoction is filtered, and this herbal mixture is mixed with Sesame Oil in a vessel. The mixture is boiled and simmered until only the oil remains. This is called Kumkumadi Tailam.
