Then, cooling and soothing ingredients like Lal Chandan (Red Sandalwood), Khus (Vetiver) and Bael fruit, make this oil suitable for use in tropical climates like India, where acne, oiliness, and inflamed skin is a common concern due to the heat.

The mixture is then boiled until only 1/4th part of liquid content remains. The decoction is filtered, and this herbal mixture is mixed with Sesame Oil in a vessel. The mixture is boiled and simmered until only the oil remains. This is called Kumkumadi Tailam.
