Cationic Guar Gum is a conditioning agent. It provides substantiality, a favourable effect on wet and dry compatibility, and compatibility with anionic surfactants. It is used in shampoos and hair after-treatment preparations and is an effective non-gelling thickener and viscosity enhancer.
It can boost foam when combined with surfactants
Cationic Guar Gum is used in hair and skin care formulations to provide a high level of conditioning, with high viscosity build. Ideal applications include deep conditioning, ethnic hair products, highly damaged/ bleached/treated hair, anti-dandruff shampoos, high active deposition, silicone deposition, soaps, and shaving.
Use Rate: 1.0 - 1.5% as a viscosity modifier; 0.15-0.25% for conditioning
pH: 9.5 - 11.0
Nitrogen: 1.8%
Appearance: Beige to tan granular powder
Solubility: Soluble in water
Add the powder to the vortex of well-agitated warm water and mix until dispersed. Adjust to pH 7.0 or less to remove the boron treatment and promote hydration of the polymer (citric acid, concentrated lemon juice or lactic acid can be used to adjust the pH as needed). Continue mixing for 15 minutes for full viscosity development.
CAS: 65497-29-2
INCI: Guar hydroxypropyltrimonium chloride
Use: Dissolve in water and stir thoroughly. Guar gum has a high pH >9 in order to thicken the solution that contains the guar gum the pH has to be <7. Add a tiny amount of citric acid or concentrated lemon juice to reach a lower pH and the solution is thickening.

Could you make a kit or recomend a recipe without baking soda! The glycerine based ones don't seem to wrk and I've only found 1 company that does it right called attitude. Anyway would be a market for it for sure✔✔
This is my third purchase of these jars. They are perfect for lip balms and luminizers.
Got here in no time , filled ready for market week after I placed the order.
This is a must have ingredient in some of my water-based formulations. Thx for having it available!
This scent is truly exceptional. Its dreamy quality makes it a joy to use, and when I added it to a lotion base, the result was fantastic. One of the best things about this scent is that it's very potent, so only a small amount is needed to achieve a nice, strong fragrance.
