Lilac in Bloom Fragrance Oil

Lilac in Bloom FO ruined my soap batch. It immediately turned my fluid, just emulsified soap batter into a gelatinous, lumpy porridge consistency and I couldn’t beat it back to a smooth enough batter to use. I had made a soap batter with the exact same lye, fats and oils earlier today- only the FO was different so it’s clear the “Lilac in Bloom” made the difference.

I have used a “Lilac in Bloom” FO sold by another retailer several times without issue. Maybe this is a different product by the same name. I’m unhappy that this product is sold by Soap & More, as I see now that others have made the same complaint.

This very experienced soap maker, brought his ssoap to a light trace and added the fragrance at the very last minute before pouring, while trying to doa simple design.
The soap solidified almost instantly. I had to use a gloved hand to scoop it out of the pitcher and into the mold.
Lovely scent, just beware when making CP soap.

Beautiful Fragrance… but. When working with CP soap, I had a batch actually seize, so weird, right.? I was able to still use the soap, but had to work quickly to get it in my mould. Tried it again, and somewhat the same thing happened. My CP soap making to trace almost immediately! I will keep using this but maybe for Melt n Pour. But the fragrance is absolutely amazing!
