2 Lb Silicone Mold Skinny Loaf 12"

2 Pound - This mold is great for making cold process and melt and pour soaps! The sides of this mold are reinforced so no box is needed. Even though this mold is very sturdy, it will work best if not filled all the way to the top. This will help prevent any bowing of the sides. The shape of the soap bars that come from this mold is a perfect size for the hands. We love this great tall and skinny mold!

We recommend using sodium lactate to harden the soap comes right out of the silicone molds.no sticking to the side or wrinkles that appear at times in silicone liners. Fill to 1/2 inch from the top. Your soap may need an extra couple of days to fully harden since the flexible silicone sides do not allow air inside the mold. This allows slower evaporation of water and hardening of soap Try it with melt & Pour.

To unmold your soap gently break the airlock around the edges of your mold and allow air down the sides.

Care of your mold: We recommend handwashing.

2lb skinny silicone loaf mold

The mold itself is great and I really like it. The reason for the 3 stars is that 2lbs of melt and pour soap only fills the mold to a maximum of 2/3 full so I get smaller square bars. I think 3lbs would fill it to a bit below full (as recommended). Excellent quality mold, though!
