Thank you Soap and More for the beautiful Blood Orange you sent me. I am a perfumer and prefer to buy my fruit oils closer to home and more often since these top oils are volitile and don't last as long as the deep oils. This blood orange is bright, crisp and will top my blends beautifully!!!
Blood Orange Essential Oil
In cold process soap this EO comes through with a high tang and spiciness to it, compared to orange 5 fold. I am working on trying to find a bit of an undertone to give it some warmth.
Let us know how you do Janet.
Love, love, love this oil! It smells just like blood oranges. Love it!
Could you make a kit or recomend a recipe without baking soda! The glycerine based ones don't seem to wrk and I've only found 1 company that does it right called attitude. Anyway would be a market for it for sure✔✔
Good product Excellent scent
I combined this with high molecular weight hyaluronic acid to make a serum base that I can add other actives / ingredients to as I am experimenting over the period of weeks / months. A little goes a long way.
After allowing the hyaluronic acid to hydrate overnight, I suggest whizzing it with a stick blender. This will create some froth but will ensure it is mixed really well & stays in suspension. Cover & let sit overnight once again. The froth will have disappeared by the next morning & it will be ready to use / blend with other ingredients.
Really spectacular on skin which is crepey, dehydrated, uneven looking.

I used this in combination with rosemary oil and a 1:1 water and rubbing alcohol mix as bathroom spray. Very refreshing and cost effective.
