Tallow has a very similar composition to palm oil. The palmitic and stearic acid in tallow help to make a hard long-lasting soap with a light creamy lather. It makes a great moisturizer! Tallow soap with a superfat of 6% is a lovely soap for your skin. No plant oil can moisturize skin like tallow can.
Rendered tallow is shelf-stable and is known for its natural preservative properties. It can be kept on room temperature for a month, however the surface will begin to oxidize. Since the tallow is not highly perishable, it just comes down to personal preference for storage. We recommend storing it in the fridge as it contains no additives,
Beef tallow will solidify and keep at room temperature in a sealed container for up to a year and won't go rancid. Beef Tallow will keep even longer in the refrigerator or indefinitely in the freezer.

Tallow is an excellent source of niacin, vitamins B6, B12, K2, selenium, iron, phosphorous, potassium and riboflavin. Grass finished beef fat is also high in Conjugated Linoleic acid (CLA) which has been tied to improved immunity and reducing inflammation.
