Niacinamide is also known as Vitamin B3 and nicotinic acid is a water-soluble vitamin commonly found in skin care formulations. It known as vitamin B3, could boost both the numbers and effectiveness of the skin’s natural antimicrobial peptides (AMPs).
It is naturally derived from nicotinic acid, found in brewer's yeast and many cereals.

It has been used in dermatology for over 40 years to treat a diverse range of conditions, including acne, rosacea, atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, seborrheic dermatitis, hyperpigmentation, autoimmune bullous dermatoses, and the treatment/prevention of photoaging and photo immunosuppression.
It is particularly effective in the care of acne-prone skin and in reducing oil sebum production, inflammation and acne lesions. Furthermore, it improves the surface structure of the skin, increases skin’s elasticity and reduces fine wrinkles. Moreover, it increases collagen production.
