This highly prized oil contains flavonoids and punicic acid, and is remarkable for the skin and has numerous nutritional benefits. A great oil for dry & irritated skin that reduces skin inflammation and aids in skin repair. This oil does not clog pores.
It has a completely unique feel, and unique fatty acids. Pomegranate seed oil, has a thick, viscous feel. And this too we can trace back to the dominant fatty acid in this case, punicic acid.
We recommend using it either undiluted by the drop, or using at up to 15% in a blend of other oils.

I’ve tried other pomegranate oils from different suppliers, and they had that regular heavy, oily skin feel and smell, much like olive. The difference with this one is that it feels thicker and less greasy at the same time, and has a very light fruit peel-like smell to it. In blends this provides an excellent barrier-like layer to the skin, and I’ve experienced no reactions to it with my sensitive skin.
I also use it in one of my soap recipes for extremely dry hands, and I’ve tested it for over a year with no DOS or oxidized smell, and it keeps getting more gentle as it ages.
