Magnesium Body Butter

Equipment Required:

Double boiler 2 cup size, scale, thermometer, small pot to boil the water phase 2 cup size, glass jar approx 2 cup size

Water Phase

25g Magnesium Flakes
25g Warm Distilled Water
2g Aspen Bark Extract Phytocide

Oil Phase

Cool Down (at appropriate %’s)

2g Vitamin E Oil
1g soothing essential oils

Mix your water phase until it is totally dissolved and set aside (keep warm).

Melt your oil phase in a double boiler until just melted. Let it cool completely before adding your water phase in small amounts, blending in each amount before adding more.

Adding MgCl at the front end of the formulation virtually guarantees that the emulsion will not form and/or break.

Combine your water phase and your oil phase and use a stick blender to emulsify. Add your cool down phase when your mixture is below 70°C and combine.

Magnesium is known to reduce muscle tension, lessen pain associated with migraine headaches, improve sleep, and address neurological disorders such as anxiety and depression.
