Uncharted Colours™ are painstakingly created and tested in the Mad Mica lab by their in-house colourists.
Most of us have found sea glass on the beach at some point in our lives. Broken glass made frosted and smooth from decades of tumbling in the ocean. Each piece unique, shaped by its long journey to the shore.
Although there are many common sea glass colours, our new Uncharted Colour is inspired by the aqua colours prevalent in the early 19th century. During this period virtually every glass container had an aqua hue; shades not from colourant but created naturally due to the low-iron sand used to make inexpensive glass. Thus, the colour could vary from place to place and time to time, just as our Sea Glass varies depending on the medium in which it is used.
In epoxy resin and clear MP soap, Sea Glass looks just like the powder. In CP soap (due to the green hue in olive oil), it has more of a teal colour, while incorporating it into a cream base for eye shadow shifts it towards blue. It's truly as varied and beautiful as its namesake.
