Silicone Mold Round Column 2.75 x 10"

Soap Weight  32 ounces

Dimensions: 2.75" diam by 10"

Our 2 piece column silicone mold snap together. Use a couple of bulldog clips to ensure there is no leakage. When pouring soap batter use a cup or glass to hold it up. The mold design makes use of extra thick silicone to keep the sides from bowing out and distorting the round shape.

Your cp soap may need an extra day or two in this mold to fully harden since the flexible silicone sides do not allow air inside the mold, which results in slower evaporation of water and hardening of your soap. Works well with melt & pour soap, too!

Tip: If making Cold Process soap in this (or any) silicone mold we recommend adding sodium lactate to your recipe. This will help to harden up your soap so that there won't be any dents or finger marks from unmolding the soap.

Care of your mold: We recommend hand washing your mold.

Directions:
Melt & Pour Soap: Close the mold by firmly pressing the edges together. For added safety, clamp the edges. Slowly pour melted soap no hotter than 130ºF into mold. Allow soap to harden then open mold and remove soap. Trim edges with a potato peeler or spatula. Embed soap into a loaf or slice into bars.

Cold Process Soap: Close the mold by firmly pressing the edges together, and clamp the edges. Slowly pour traced soap into mold. After at least 24 hours, open mold and remove soap with gloved hands. Trim edges with a potato peeler or spatula. Embed soap into a loaf or slice into bars. Allow soap to cure for 4-8 weeks. Note that some cp soap recipes may require a week to harden enough to remove from the mold. If this is the case with your recipe, we recommend adding sodium lactate to your recipe to assist with creating a harder bar faster.

Care:
Hand wash mold in warm, sudsy water.
