Cream of tarter is a natural food-grade ingredient that is used in some cosmetic formulations like bubble bars, bath bombs, and bath cookies. In bubble bars, the cream of tartar acts as a stabilizer that allows the rest of the ingredients to adhere to one another. Cream of tartar also allows products to "rise" if you will; making them more airy and fluffier. The addition of cream of tartar to frostings makes them smoother and fluffier. Cream of tartar is a key ingredient in homemade kids' play-dough. Cream of tartar can also be used in natural cleaners to clean brass, copper, and porcelain.
When added to bath bombs it makes a harder and denser bomb. Recommended usage 2 to 5%
