From sprays and lotions to creams and gels, modern skincare & haircare products need stable and versatile amino acid emulsifier that allow sensory adjustment and consistent quality.
For a thick lotion or cream, start with 1.0% Eumulgin SG and up to 5% cetyl alcohol in the heated oil phase of your product.
Eumulgin® SG is easy to disperse and compatible with commonly used raw materials and electrolytes, including water-soluble UV filters. The exceptionally strong O/W emulsifier is highly efficient in low concentrations. It is derived from 100% natural, renewable feedstocks and approved by COSMOS
For greater stability, pair with another emulsifier, a high HLB emulsifier like Polysorbate 80 (HLB 15), ritamulse SCG
pH Advice: As this is an amino acid derived surfactant it is most stable and active when formulated into products with a pH of 6 or less. At higher pH this ingredient will be less effective and may destabilise your formula. Foaming performance will also be reduced at high pH.
Formulating Cautions: Not recommended for products that contain high levels of Zinc oxide as zinc forms complexes with anionic surfactants.
