Xanthan Gum is an excellent, sugar based, natural thickener that stabilizes emulsions and cleansing systems.
Mixing Xanthan Gum into water is difficult and hard to disperse. Mixing Xanthan Gum into Glycerin is easy and it will readily mix into a paste.
Xanthan gum has a negative charge. It is commonly used in water-based gels and serums, liquid shampoos, and gel cleansers. They can be incompatible with cationic ingredients, and most lose viscosity in acidic environments.
Due to the sugar backbone, Xanthan Gum offers some skin hydration properties.

*A stick blender mixing will reduce the tendency of the particles to contact and stick, to each other. If this happens the result will be that the outside swells and prevents water from getting to the inside resulting in swollen clumps, also referred to as 'fish eyes'. This is, sometimes, irreversible so, care should be taken to use the highest shear possible.
I bought this to create my own homemade shampoo and it worked very well!
I am very satisfied, it was my first time buying at Soap and More and I will definitely buy again
